I was told that I could not be issued a replacement card yet because my account was negative which they knew when they scheduled my appointment. I was scheduled to come in to pick up a replacement card and when I arrived to the branch in DC on New York Ave (City Center) the tellers refused to let me in for my appointment. They will not provide me a provisional credit while the investigation is in place. I was told I had to wait 7-10 business days for the investigation. My funds were taken from my account on several fraudelent transactions. While you are not a joint owner on the credit card account, due to the status of the owner’s credit card (in this case, ****** **********) the balance can be offset, utilizing funds that are available in any other deposit accounts to which the credit card owner is associated (in this case, the checking account to which he is a joint owner). The deposit account which the $692.22 was debited, is titled as a joint account, with yourself as the primary owner, and ****** ********** as a joint owner.
